Topic: TestRail 1.3 released
Hello,
We are happy to announce the immediate availability of TestRail 1.3. This version introduces support for custom fields, an alternative approach to adding steps and entering test results and adds several smaller features, improvements and some bug fixes.
What's new in TestRail 1.3.0
Please see below for the changes of this version.
Added: Support for custom fields for test cases and test results
Added: Support for steps in test cases and test results; a structured way to specify individual test steps and expected results
Added: Result dialog is now resizable; dialog size is stored in the user preferences
Added: Select All action for selecting entire configuration groups in the test plan configuration dialog
Changed: The test case fields 'preconditions', 'steps' and 'expected result' were converted into custom fields
Changed: Disabling markdown for test case fields is now possible (because custom fields support different text formats and the test case fields were converted to custom fields)
Changed: Disabled date control animation (for performance reasons in certain browsers)
Changed: Decreased minimum resize height of text fields
Changed: Improved behavior of inline add case on test suite page (control is kept visible after adding one test case to simplify adding multiple test cases)
Fixed: Import files with empty sections cannot be imported
Fixed: Corners of tab controls render incorrectly (Chrome only)
Fixed: A possible warning is shown on the confirmation page in the installer
Fixed: When selecting the 'Unlimited' option for the editing test results feature, the dropdown displays the wrong option after saving the settings
Fixed: body tag has extra whitespace at the bottom on pages with date controls
Fixed: Date columns are not placed correctly in the load test plan dialog (IE only)
