I have created my own small too that connects to your database and does that. would be nice to have this support with in the TestRail. Its usefull

we are happy to announce the immediate availability of the new TestRail beta version 1.0.3. We have fixed a lot of smaller bugs in this release, improved many parts of the application and added new features to TestRail. Please see below for a list of changes in this release.

What's new in TestRail Beta 1.0.3

  • Added: Support for nested sections and section hierarchies in test suites, test runs, test plans and todos

  • Added: Move and copy for sections in the same test suite

  • Added: Move and copy for test cases in the same test suite

  • Added: Support for sending email via secure sockets (SSL)

  • Added: Sidebar navigation for todos

  • Added: Sidebar navigation for test runs

  • Changed: Section actions are now represented by icons and are no longer visible all the time (only on hover now)

  • Changed: Inline Assign To in test grids is now accessible with a single mouse click (was a double click previously)

  • Changed: Reduced Javascript add/remove effects and adjusted their usage across the application

  • Changed: Disabled png transparent fix for IE because of performance problems on pages with many images/icons

  • Changed: Improved logging and diagnostics for background task

  • Changed: Redesigned test/test cases grids to make less important information (IDs etc.) less prominent

  • Changed: Redesigned test and test case pages (padding and headers)

  • Fixed: Test suite sidebar is not updated after adding a new test case

  • Fixed: Re-run action for closed test runs displays archived test cases instead of the real cases of the test suite

  • Fixed: Background task can be started via the web browser

  • Fixed: Reload timer functionality on the test page causes input characters to be ignored in dialogs sometimes

  • Fixed: Icon for text/plain mime type is not displayed

  • Fixed: Link to Adobe flash is missing in pie charts fallback

  • Fixed: Project description on global dashboard includes test runs of test plans

  • Fixed: Image upload for test results/changes raises an error on Windows/SQL Server installations

Updating to the new version
To update your TestRail beta installation, please download the new version from your private beta link and follow the upgrade instructions. TestRail is updated by just copying the new installation files over your existing TestRail installation. The database upgrade wizard is automatically started when you access TestRail with your web browser.
